Welcome to the Hedgehog class!  The Hedgehog class is a social communication class within our Special Provision at Kilcooley and we consist of 8 Primary 2 children.

Our current theme is all about 'Food, Glorious Food!' and we have been discussing where our food comes from.  We have discussed what we already know about food and considered what we would like to find out about food.  We already had our first trip to Streamvale Farm in Dundonald where we got to hear about all the work farmers do with plants and animals to give us our food.  We even got to pet baby chicks and rabbits!

We love our PBL (Play-Based Learning) sessions and enjoy linking lots of our activities to our different themes throughout the year.  We also enjoy a range of other activities including Forest Schools, sensory circuits, outdoor walks, gardening, Attention Autism, yoga, and baking Fridays!
